Duties:
Ensures that care is provided with Child Devlopment standards. Assists in planning and conducting an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child. Reviews and implements daily schedules and activity plans. Recieves children from parents noting all special instructions parents may provide. Ensures that each child leaves with his or her parent or someone authorized to take the child.
About the Position:
Flexible (Workweek is established and employees usually work less than 40 hours per week. Employment is on a recurring basis, only when required.) Flexible employees are ineligible for insurance, retirement, holiday pay and leave benefits.

General Schedule
CC-01 (Entry Level) ability to communicate in English (both written & verbal); CC-01 (Skill Level) Requirements of Entry Level, three months experience and possess Army Entry Level Training Certificate or at least nine semester hours college credit in early childhood/elementary/secondary/special education, child/youth development, psychology, human development, youth program administration, recreation or related behavioral sciences or one year vocational certificate in childcare. CC-02 (Target Level) Requirements of Skill Level, twelve months child care experience and possess Army Foundation Level Training Certificate or twelve semester hours college credit in one of the areas listed above.
Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal).
Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, walk, bend, and stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.

Initiation of State Criminal History Repository checks for each state where an individual has resided for the past five years may be required prior to appointment to a position.
All required background checks of AR 215-3, must be successfully completed and maintained including Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI); to include a health assessment is required.
